The best care is of limited use if patients can’t access it.  Waiting weeks for an acutely sick patient to see a specialist is not best practice.

At Heart Care Partners we’re doing something about it.  We are introducing a service guarantee. If you have a patient with an acute problem, call us on 07 3858 8600 (Wesley) or 07 3394 3100 (Greenslopes) and talk directly to one of our experienced cardiologists.  We will see all urgent “new cases” within 24 hours, somewhere within the Heart Care Partners consulting network – usually the same day!

Patients with emergency care problems should travel by ambulance to the Wesley or Greenslopes Private Emergency Centres. We would be more than happy to notify the Emergency Centre and assume responsibility for the patient’s care. If a patient has a stable problem needing a “new case” appointment we will guarantee to see them within 2 weeks.

If one of our “existing” patients needs an earlier than planned appointment, for an acute exacerbation or deterioration – call us on our 'Doctor Cardiologist Hotline' and speak to the patient’s cardiologist.  We will see them within 7 days.
